Is equipment provided?
Yes – We provide paddles and balls to all of our customers free of charge

Is parking available?
Yes – There is plenty of free parking available on site. Signs will be posted directing you to the sports hall.

Are the courts indoors or outdoors?
All our courts are currently indoors so we can play whatever the weather

Do I have to be a member?
No – There are currently no joining fees

How do I book?
All our sessions are available to book on the Mad About Pickle booking page, via the Booking buttons on the top of the site or by clicking here. To arrange private court hire please email us at info@madaboutpickle.com to arrange your session.

What should I wear?
All you need are suitable sportswear and trainers.

How do your sessions work?
There are a maximum of 6 players allocated to each court. Four players will start playing a doubles match (games to 11 points). Players will rotate on and off across our courts to allow equal playing time for all. As these are social sessions, you will be mixed and matched with any players who book into your time slot.

Do I need a partner?
No, you can come on your own or in a group and will be mixed with various other players who have booked into the session.

How long are your sessions?
Each session runs 55 minutes (starting on the hour).

I’ve never played pickleball before. Can I still turn up?
Of course! All levels are welcome. It’s an easy game to pick up!

Is there an age restriction?
For social sessions all children over 14 years of age (accompanied by an adult) are welcome, as well as all adults. Keep an eye out for family sessions where you can book a court as a family for all ages!

How do cancellations work?
If you need to cancel a place for social play or private court hire, at least 24 hours notice must be given. If the cancellation is outside of the 24 hour window, you will be refunded the full amount, less an admin fee. For social play, the admin fee is £1 per person in the booking. For private court hire, the admin fee is £5 per court in the booking. In order to cancel a social play session or a private court hire, you can use the “Cancel Appointment” button on your booking confirmation email, or by logging into your account on the website and managing your booking. If the cancellation is made less than 24 hours before a booking, no refund will be given.

Can I make changes to my booking?
Of course! If you need to amend your booking, a transfer to another session slot will be offered if the change is made at least 24 hours before your booking. To do this, please contact us at info@madaboutpickle.com to rearrange your session.
